Global Music Producer & Deejay Martin Solveig Spins as “2012 MTV Movie Awards” House DJ
Hosted by comedian, actor and TV personality Russell Brand, the “2012 MTV Movie Awards” will take place on Sunday 3 June at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. The show will premiere on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) at 21:00 CAT on Monday 4 June.
The Black Keys are
one of today's most respected and critically acclaimed rock bands. The band has
released seven full-length studio albums, with "El Camino"
being their first worldwide release with Nonesuch Records. Released on December
6, 2011, the album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and is already
certified RIAA Gold. Currently on the second leg of their U.S. tour, The
Black Keys headlined the 2012 Coachella music festival and will
have the honour once again at this summer's Lollapalooza festival. In the last
year, they have appeared twice on "Saturday Night Live," performed on
the "Late Show with David Letterman” and "The Colbert Report",
graced the cover of Rolling Stone and been featured on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

multi-faceted and formidable producers, performers and deejays. Known for his
singularly unique taste and irreverent approach to music, Solveig has recently
released “THE NIGHT OUT” EP, which features the title track and current single
“The Night Out.” Solveig catapulted to superstar music maker status with his
single “Hello,” which has dominated music charts worldwide. The song has
achieved platinum status in America, Italy, Germany and Austria and double-
platinum status in Canada and Australia, with the companion video having racked
up almost 60 million views. Solveig has also earned rave reviews for his work
as one of the primary producers of Madonna’s blockbuster new album, “MDNA.”
Among his contributions to the acclaimed collection is the hit single, “Give Me
All Your Luvin’ (Feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.),” which has proven an
international sensation, topping airplay charts around the globe. Solveig
recently wrapped up a major North American tour with a performance at the
exclusive Coachella music festival, and is slated to join Madonna as her
special guest on the European leg of the upcoming “MDNA World Tour.”

Also confirmed for this year’s telecast
are previously announced presenters Adam Sandler, Emma Watson, Andy
Samberg, Leighton Meester, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, Emma Stone, Andrew
Garfield, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Michael
Fassbender, Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg. Emma
Stone is also confirmed to receive the first ever “MTV
Trailblazer Award” during the telecast for carving out a unique and
diverse Hollywood path through her varied and rich array of theatrical
roles. Chart-topping indie-pop group fun. and rapper Wiz
Khalifa are set to perform.
Known as one of the most outrageous and
distinctive televised award shows, the “2012 MTV Movie Awards”
will feature its trademark individuality and irreverence. Fusing the network’s
musical core with the wonder and amazement of the comedy, drama, adventure and
mystery inherent to the movie-going experience, the telecast is set to provide
more laughs, surprises and one-of-a-kind moments with Hollywood’s biggest stars
