FLORENCE ITA-GIWA, ABIKE-DABIRI EREWA, ALI BABA, AREMU AFOLAYAN & OTHERS ATTEND ENCOMIUM BLACK AND WHITE BALL

-        Subomi Balogun honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award

 On Sunday April 14, 2013, Nigeria’s brightest stars were celebrated at a night of extravagant music and style in what has become one of the most anticipated fashion and lifestyle events in the country, Encomium Black & White Ball.

The 4th edition of Encomium Black & White Ball which was hosted by superstar MC/Comedian Julius Agwu held at the prestigious Ruby Gardens, Lekki, Lagos witnessed attendance by artistes, actors, actresses, comedians and the cream of the society.

Speaking at the event, Kunle Bakare, publisher of Encomium Weekly, expressed gratitude at the level of support and appreciation shown by readers and the media as well as at the high turn-out.

“It’s been amazing so far and we at Encomium are very grateful for the immense support and love shown towards us.” Bakare says.

“Since inception, we have always sought ways to make this event bigger and better and it gives us so much joy that once again we have put our best foot forward.” He added.

Topnotch celebrities in attendance include Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Abike-Dabiri Erewa, High Chief Alex Akinyele, Dayo Adeneye, Ali Baba, Fred Amata, Bisi Olatilo, Sunny Neji, Ayo Animashaun, Victor Olaotan amongst many others.

 The Encomium Black and White Ball also hosted an exciting fashion show to showcase the creative works of upcoming designers such as Rikalto, Vanskere, Tesslo, Olaedo, Imol and Omah.

And serenading guests with rich live music from Nigeria and beyond was one of Nigeria's greatest singers Ego (of Lagbaja fame) who thrilled guests.

The 1^st edition of Encomium Black and White Ball held on April 26th, 2009 in KFA events place Lekki with guests such as Otunba Gbenga Daniel (former Governor, Ogun State), Eucharia Anunobi, Oge Okoye, Ebube Nwagbo among many others.

Since then, previous editions of the Black and White Ball have hosted many stars including Dele Momodu, Genevieve Nnaji, Dayo Adeneye, Keke Ogungbe and Senator Florence Ita-Giwa.
