BEREAVED CONTESTANT DEDICATES PERFORMANCE TO LATE SISTER ON NIGERIA’S GOT TALENT

UDEM SOLOMON - Nigeria's Got Talent 2013
We have seen the good, bad and funny on Nigeria’s Got Talent so far, but a solemn moment is one that was experienced for the first time at the last episode.

Udem Solomon, a singer from Calabar brought pity and gloom to the heart of the judges and audience as he performed Adele’s “Someone like you’ in remembrance of his sister who died 6 months ago in a car crash on her way to choir rehearsal.

Lost in the depth of the music and its memories, Sylvester shot his eyes as he performed in a range that is seemingly strange for someone of his gender.  He couldn’t hold back the tears when the judges asked for details regarding his loss.

“If I were your sister, I will be so proud of you. You are the first person that has sang that song and I have heard every word in the lyrics,” said a proud Kate.
