DR SID’S “TALENTED” MAINTAINS TOP SPOT ON THIS WEEK’S MTV BASE OFFICIAL NAIJA TOP TEN

Dr Sid continues to lead the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10.  The “Talented” artist tops the definitive Naija music video chart for the second week running.

Showing progress this week is D’Banj’s “Finally”, which climbs to number 2, while Davido’s “Skelewu” leapfrogs two places to number 5.  Olamide’s “Duro Soko” is also up one place to number 4, as is Kcee’s “Pull Over” (number 7) and WizKid’s “Jaiye Jaiye” (number 8).

“I Swear” by Ice Prince, stays at number six while “Mama Eh” by Sean Tizzle remains at number 10.  

Former number one “Natural Something” by Sound Sultan slips to number 3, while “I’m Sorry” by Illbliss drops out of the top 10 altogether.

This week’s chart sees just one new entry: “Rotate” by Wande Coal making its debut at number 9. 

MTV Base’s own music guru, Osahon Asemota will join VJ Ehiz on the Top 10 couch this week to talk about the hottest videos making the rounds in the Nigerian music scene.

Every week, the Official Naija Top 10 powered by Star Music is put together by an elite judging panel of Nigerian broadcasters, music specialists and tastemakers, working with MTV Base to pick the winners and losers in the week’s chart. On the panel are Onos Ovueraye (Bella Naija.com), DJ Humility (Rhythm FM), DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Xclusive (Cool FM), Big Time (Rhythm FM), DJ Caise (The Beat FM), Toolz (The Beat FM) and Osagie Alonge (Nigerian Entertainment Today). 

The MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 is revealed on MTV Base on NTA every Friday night at 23.30 WAT.  The chart rundown can be seen on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) every Tuesday at 10.00 PM, on AIT on Tuesdays at 9.30PM, and on STV on Thursdays at 6PM.  Next week’s chart will be unveiled on Friday 20 December on NTA at 11.30PM.
