KCEE’s “PULL OVER” HITS NUMBER ONE ON THE “MTV BASE OFFICIAL NAIJA TOP TEN POWERED BY STAR MUSIC”


Lagos, 18 January 2014: Kcee is to lead the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 Powered by Star Music“Pull Over” kicks D’Banj’s “Finally” off the top slot in the definitive Naija music video chart after jumping four places from last week’s number 5.

Sitting pretty at number 2 is Davido with “Skelewu” - up one place from last week, while Wizkid makes leaps from 7th place last week to number 4 thanks toJaiye Jaiye”.

This week’s chart sees five new entries: Olamide’sTurn Up” enters the chart at number 4, closely followed by Burna Boy with “Yawa Dey” at number 5. Mr 2Kay makes his Official Naija Top 10 debut with “Bugugaga Remix” at number 7 while DJ Xclusive occupies the number 9 slot with Pangolo”; Skuki’s Silifa rounds out the chart at number 10. 

The video of “Sweet Like Shuga”, the collaboration between Flavour, Chidinma, Sound Sultan, Kcee and Professor for the Shuga TV series, rises four places to number 6 while Tiwa Savage, who plays Sade in the drama stays at number 8 with “Eminado.

Bella Naija’s Onos Ovueraye joins VJ Ehiz in the Top 10 studio this week to talk about this week’s movers and shakers.

The MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 is revealed on MTV Base on NTA every Friday night at 23.30 WAT.  The chart rundown can be seen on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) every Tuesday @22.00 WAT, on AIT on Tuesdays at 21.30 WAT, and on STV on Thursdays @ 18.00 WAT.  Next week’s chart will be unveiled on Friday 24 January on NTA @ 23.30 WAT.

Every week, the Official Naija Top 10 powered by Star Music is put together by an elite judging panel of Nigerian broadcasters, music specialists and tastemakers, working with MTV Base to pick the winners and losers in the week’s chart. On the panel are Onos Ovueraye (Bella Naija.com), DJ Humility (Rhythm FM), DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Xclusive (Cool FM), Big Time (Rhythm FM), DJ Caise (The Beat FM), Toolz (The Beat FM) and Osagie Alonge (Nigerian Entertainment Today).
