Eminem, Rihanna To Perform At “Mtv Movie Awards 2014”

As Kanye West, Robert De Niro, Joan Rivers, Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto, Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, Others Get Nominations.

With the “2014 MTV Movie Awards” just a few days away, MTV announced today that global superstars Eminem and Rihanna are set to take the stage for their first live performance of their #1 smash hit, “The Monster” at the awards which will hold at the Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater L.A. LIVE on April 14, 2013.

With one of the hottest collaborations released last year, both Eminem and Rihanna are making triumphant returns to the Movie Awards’ stage. Back in 2009, Eminem performed a medley of “We Made You/ Crack a Bottle” and then created one of the most talked about moments in Movie Awards history with Sasha Baron Cohen, while Rihanna performed one of her signature hits, “Umbrella” with Jay Z in 2007.

An irreverent look at the movie world, “2014 MTV Movie Awards” rewards movie greatness in quirky categories such as Best Comedic Performance, Best Villain, Best Kiss, Best Scared-As-S**t Performance, Best Musical Moment, #WTF Moment, Best On-Screen Duo, Best Fight, Best Shirtless Performance and more. Voting for Movie of the Year will continue throughout the live broadcast of the show (see list of nominees at end of document).

Other blockbuster moments to look out for at the MTV Movies awards this year include Additional performances by twenty one pilots, performing their new single “Car Radio” and Ellie Goulding & Zedd, performing excerpts from the “Divergent” soundtrack, the presentation of the “MTV Generation Award” to Mark Wahlberg by his fellow “Entourage” cast members Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Dillon - the first public reunion for the cast ahead of their highly anticipated movie release in June 2015.

This year, the “MTV Movie Awards” has the distinction of being the only Awards show to nominate cinematic legend Robert De Niro, Kanye West and Joan Rivers in the same category (Best Cameo), see Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto take on Ice Cube and Kevin Hart (Best On-Screen Duo), and pit Jennifer Aniston against some of the hottest men on the planet (Zac Efron, Chris Hemsworth, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sam Claflin) for the coveted Best Shirtless Performance category.
