Nigerian Idol Gears Up For Sensational Top 12 Unveil


With 6 spots filled in the Top 12 and 6 more to go, Africa’s biggest music talent show is gearing towards a sensational Top 12 unveil.

Lisa, Elvis Jay, Jesse Ray, Nex2, Ms Oge and Xolani are the six contestants in the Top 12 so far and 6 spots are left to be occupied.

With the last group of 10 contestants performing over the weekend, only 3 of these acts will make it into the Top 12. Performing love songs as well as old school melodies, the 10 contestants gave their all for an opportunity to win the heart of the judges as well as votes of fans.

“This has been the most prepared group so far,” said an impressed Dede. ‘Though we had some who didn’t meet our expectation, a good number of them deserve a pat on the back,” he added.

Hosted by On-Air Personality, Ill Rymz; judges for this season remain, Afrobeat performer; Dede Mabiaku, Multi-talented Entertainer and King of R&B; Darey Art Alade and International conscious singer; Nneka Egbuna.
