Tony Agenmonmen, a senior strategy manager at Nigerian Breweries Plc, is set for the Presidential elections of the National Institute of Management (NIMN) billed to hold on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Kaduna, Nigeria.
Agenmonmen, a marketing guru with over 30 years of active experience says his decision to vie for the position was inspired by the need to put the potentials of the institute to proper use and to ultimately reposition her to enviable heights.
‘I want to lead the vision and action for a change that will genuinely reposition the institute and restore it to its rightful place in the comity of professional organisations in Nigeria, and with time, in Africa and rest of the world’, he said in a manifesto published on his blog.
About his vision for the institute, he continued, 'My vision can be categorised into three pillars: Strength, Unity and Professionalism. The three pillars will lead us ''To be the undisputed number one professional organization in Nigeria''.
58 year-old Agenmonmen, graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with a B.Sc in Economics, after which he obtained his MBA from the University of Benin, specializing in Marketing. He has since worked in the marketing with notable multinationals including Unilever Nigeria (formerly Lever Brothers), Unilever Bangladesh and Nigerian Breweries where he has been since 1984.
The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) is the professional body for marketing professionals engaged in marketing and related fields as marketing practitioners, sales and marketing directors, customer service managers, media planners, creative directors, brand builders, enterprise builders, marketing and mass communication experts.
