With
the MTV Africa Music Awards only two weeks away, MTV Base hosted
nominees, guests, colleagues and music lovers to a night of fun at the
Road To MAMA concert which held yesterday at the Marquee, Federal Palace
Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Hosted
by MTV VJs, Ehiz and Stephanie, the event kicked off with a press
conference with Senior Vice President, Viacom Africa, Alex Okosi, Senior
Brand Manager, Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Adebola Williams and some of this
year’s nominees including Phyno, Lil Kesh, Iyanya, Yemi Alade,
Patoranking and Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz.

Last
year, premium beer, Gulder rebranded, came out with a brand new look
and proudly declared itself as strictly-for-the-man beer.
As part of efforts to further drive home this new brand statement,
Gulder has released new TVC, with the theme ‘Be The Man You Want To
Become’.
The TVC tells the stories of three men, Dan, John and Mike who desire better things but need a drink to give them the confidence to launch forward.

BHM Group CEO, Ayeni Adekunle Shares Success Tips At Monthly Business Meeting In Lagos

CEO
of Black House Media Group, Ayeni Adekunle spoke at the June edition of
the monthly business meeting organized by Junior Chambers International
(JCI), a nonprofit organization of young active citizens.
The event, which held on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Protea Hotel, Ikeja
also had the duo of Titus and Tobias Igwe of Speed Meals Mobile Kitchen
as speakers. During his session, Ayeni gave a detailed narration of his
background and how he managed to overcome the challenges that came with
being raised in a middle class neighbourhood like Okokomaiko.

Real Madrid Fans Make Winning Debut On Star Football Superfans
|
|
|
Fans
of the Real Madrid team, Obidike Benjamin, Olutade Rotimi, Babatunde
Abiola, Oyinlusi Rotimi Ezekiel and Filani Olumide Samuel made a debut
on the Star Football Superfans TV game show this week and it turned out a
success as they edged aside Chelsea fans, True Blues to win the coveted
N1m star prize.
The victory fetched them the grand prize of N1m while True Blues
Olanipekun Oluwaseun Emmanuel, Obanubi Ayoola Olaniyi, Calistus Ngwu,
Ayeni Tokunbo Bamidele and Oyelami Taofeek Kola, went home with the
N100, 000 consolation prize.
Star Superfans gameshow airs every Thursday by 8pm on Africa Magic and every Friday by 9pm on AIT.

As part of activities to mark the 50th
birthday of ace comedian, Ali Baba, some ex-international Super Eagles
players played a novelty match against a few popular
comedians/personalities including Buchi, Alibaba, Okey Bakassi,
Acapella, Funyprince, Lafup, Omobaba, Jafextra, Sensei Uche and others.
Present at the match was Nigerian Breweries’ latest offering Star
Radler, which was not only widely consumed by guests but also positively
reviewed. The drink, which comes in a colourful package, is an exciting
mixture of the popular Star beer and citrus juice with an alcohol

Interswitch Partners Catholic Secretariat Of Nigeria To Facilitate Funds Collection

The
Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN) has launched a national fund
raising campaign tagged ‘Friends of the CSN’ targeted at the over
30million Catholics in Nigeria. Considering the magnitude and required
coverage, the CSN has partnered with Interswitch to ease the collections
process nationwide leveraging its multi-channel collections platform.
The multi-channel platform which is currently being enjoyed by prominent
religious organisations in Nigeria will enable collection of funds by
churches via multiple payment channels like ATM, internet, mobile, PoS
and individual bank branches. This initiative makes life a lot easier
for church members nationwide to remit their donations to the church
anywhere, anytime.
