NIGERIA RETURNS TO NOTTINGHILL CARNIVAL

In 2007, there was no major meeting point for Nigerian revellers at the Nottinghill Carnival in London, after police cordoned off the street that would have led to the ‘Nigerian corner’.

It was the same last year, even though Grafton and Blackknights entertainment tried to bring Nigerians together, before police dissolved the assembly.

It’s looking like things will take a different turn this year. According to showbizplusmore findings, there are plans by leading outfits in the entertainment and corporate sector, to officlally host a Nigerian stand at the world-famous carnival.

The stand, according to sources, will be on Adela street, Off Kensal road, Harrow road end. And, top Nigerian entertainers DJ Zeez, DJ Jimmy JATT and Gbenga Adeyinka have already been confirmed to thrill Nigerians at the carnival on Monday August 31.

Sodium Brands solutions, Primetime entertainment, Reve entertainment, DJA music and R70 World, are leading the pack of pan-Nigerian enthusiasts to the carnival this year. ‘‘We’re all working together to make this happen’’, Sodium’s Abisoye Fagade told showbizplusmore.

Top Nigerians expected at the carnival this year include Julius Agwu, Tee A, Keke and D-One, Ayo Animashaun, Kingsley James, 9ice, El Dee, Ayo Shonaiya, DJ Abass and Dele Esan
