AWARDS GALORE FOR DAREY!

Nigeria’s king of R N B Darey Art Alade is definitely rounding up the year on a good note.

Having won two awards at this year’s Channel O awards on Thursday October 29 and Four at the Nigeria Music Video Awards on Sunday, November 1, the singer disclosed to fans and friends this week “I’m happy about the awards, it goes a long way to see that people see you have put in a lot into what you do, and they reward you. This album was just released on March 30, 2009, and we’ve been able to achieve this much”
Despite the initial uncertainty that surrounded the release of his second
album ‘Un.DAREY.ted, because of the predominantly R&B/Soul content, Darey gradually got the attention of fans, earned the respect of critics, and cultivated amazing followership nationwide, establishing himself as the undisputable King of the RNB genre in Nigeria.

At this point, many would have expected the singer to be resting on his oars, but he’s definitely not thinking along that line. A member of the singer’s PR team at A.Y.E.N.I Entertainment revealed that “Darey has more on his sleeves and is not relenting yet. It will shock you what next he is coming out with”

In a discussion with Darey; he discloses that he is already back in the studios recording fresh materials for Nigeria, South Africa and the US. “I just rounded up my international album, and we will be releasing it in a matter of months, but then, I have to go back to the studio, we have a long journey ahead of us, and myself and my team AT Soul Muzik are bracing ourselves for it” he says.

Meanwhile, the fast rising record label Soul Muzik recently signed two new acts “Adora” and “Password” who alongside Darey Art Alade are ready to take the Nigerian Music scene to a new level.
