Nigerian Idol Is Here

It is finally here

Fans of reality TV in Nigeria are in for fun and excitement as the first-ever Nigerian Idol made its way to our TV screens across the country last Sunday

Produced by OMG and Rapid Blue and sponsored by Etisalat, Royal Exchange and Pepsi, the show debuted with the broadcast of the Lagos auditions on Sunday November 21.

The show kicked off with a private viewing session at Sheraton Hotel Lagos. Present were top brands and entertainment editors, senior executives from Etisalat, Pepsi and Royal Exchange as well as celebs including actress Genevieve Nnaji

The show’s first episode showing the good, bad and ugly wannabes from different audition cities went on air at 5PM on Sunday.

Auditions held in Lagos, Enugu, Abuja and Calabar, and about 10,000 hopeful contestants were in attendance.

Those who caught the show on Sunday couldn’t have enough; and many are yet to recover from the rib cracking moments from the debut episode.

The producers say Sunday’s show is a tip off the iceberg; promising viewers a fantastic show.
