Glitz and glamour was the order of the day as renowned actors, musicians, socialites, entrepreneurs, business leaders, media titans and devoted Encomium readers gathered at Encomium’s 15th anniversary which held on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at The Haven, GRA, Lagos.
The event started with a lavish red carpet and cocktail session were guests flaunted glamorous all-white ensembles to energized paparazzi on the red carpet. The stylish event later saw guests dancing to Africa’s number one Disc Jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt’s mix of melodious hits from many celebrated Nigerian artistes.
According to Kunle Bakare, “A lot of celebrities and entertainment personalities are busy; they don’t get time to meet one another, so at our events, we try to bring them together to have warm relationships”
And this edition of the White gig saw notable faces in the Nigerian movie, music and Fashion scene present. They include Funke Akindele, Kate Henshaw, Ruki Sanda, Dele Odule, Aremu Afolayan, Chika Ike, Funsho Adeolu, Monalisa Chinda, Rukky Sanders, Empress Njamah, Kunle Coker, John Njamah, Aquilla Njamah, Uju Murphy among many others.
Others include top acts in the entertainment industry Bisi Olatilo, Howie T, Keke Ogungbe, ID Ogungbe, Dayo Adeneye, Kwam 1, Pasuma, T.W.O, Olu Maintain, Yeni Kuti, Weird MC, Kenny Saint Brown, Goldie, Djinee, AY the Comedian, Funke Kuti, Gbenga Adeyinka, Steel, Artquake etc.
There was also an official launch of the new Leopard Raffin Cognac brandy. The bar was declared open for guests to enjoy cognac cocktails.
This year’s event tagged “Take the steps, Walk the Talk” was supported by LR Cognac, Kiss Events, JATT INC, Couture Cakes, BlackHouse Media, and Replica Digital.
