STAR MUSIC TREK 2014 OFFICIALLY UNVEILS 17 ARTISTES ON 13TH PAN NIGERIAN CONCERT

• 2Face, M.I, Wizkid, Davido return by popular demand.
• Tiwa Savage returns as only female artistes on The Trek

Nigeria’s most popular 10 city 10 week music concert, Star Music Trek has officially unveiled its exciting star line up for this year’s pan Nigerian concert.

The select list of performers was revealed to an exclusive audience comprising celebrities, members of the press and officials of the brand at a suspense filled sign on press conference, which held at Federal Palace Hotel Victoria Island, Lagos on March 19^th 2014.

The press conference was preceded by the popular My City Rocks campaign attracted artistes and various celebrities commenting eagerly on what made their cities so special and unique. Excited fans all over the country engaged in the interactive campaign on electronic and online mediums where they also got an opportunity to guess the artistes on this year’s line -up.

“Our theme, “My City Rocks, is inspired by the uniqueness of the many cities in Nigeria. Young Nigerians have connected to these special traits in a unique way as only they can and have made this campaign all the more spectacularly engaging right from the very beginning,” says Corporate Media and Brand PR Manager  Edem Vindah.

“We’re just as eager as our teeming fans as we commence Star Music Trek 2014. As usual, we’ll be taking the brightest and best of Nigerian music and artistes all across the country and can assure our fans that this year’s Trek will be filled with spectacular surprises he added.

Guests spotted at the event include  Chief Marketing Officer MTN, Larry Anetts, Olisa Adibua, Toni Kan, Uti Nwachukwu,  TY Mix, Mark Redguard, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, Mo’ Eazy and many others.

Star Music Trek 2014 performers include 2face, Tiwa Savage, M.I,  Olamide, Davido, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Sound Sultan, Pasuma, Mr Raw, Dr Sid, Naeto C, KCee, Sean Tizzle, Phyno and May D. 

Hosts for the regional Trek are Gbenga Adeyinka, DO2TUN of Cool FM and Laff Up with DJ Neptune, DJ Switch, DJ Blaise as official DJs for The Trek.

Star Music Trek, which has been in existence since the early 90’s, has become the nations most anticipated music carnival with the country’s biggest artistes delivering spectacular performances to the delight of thousands of fans across the country.

In addition to delivering Nigeria’s favorite artistes right across the country, it also turns each venue into a spectacular music feast drawing thousands of eager fans to each concert to watch stunning performances from their favorite artistes each weekend during the three-month tour.

The Trek 2014 will be touring the following cities, Nsukka, 29^TH March Makurdi, 5^th April Uyo, 12^th April, Umuahia 19^th April, Orlu 26^th April, Ekwulobia, 3^rd May Onitsha Fegge, 11^th May, Benin17th May, Ado Ekiti, 24^th May, and Lagos May 31^st.
