2Face and Tony One Week Surprise Fans with Special Easter Performance in Umuahia


-Olamide, Phyno, Mr Raw, Kcee offer 5 star performance at biggest Easter Party in Umuahia

African music legend, 2Face, brought a spectacular night of fun and nonstop music in Umuahia to a rousing finish as he commenced his set with a scintillating surprise performance with Tony One Week of the Gyration fame at Star Music Trek Umuahia.

The bustling city played host to the fourth stage of the concert, which held at Abia Hotels, Umuahia on September 19 2014.

Music lovers who streamed in early from Aba, Owerri and other surrounding cities came to watch five popular headline artistes billed to perform on the massive Trek stage- 2Face, Olamide, Phyno, Mr Raw, Kcee,- as well as see some of the best home grown talents in the city take turns to thrill the audience.

The host, Do2dtun of Cool FM, ensured that he kept the anticipation high throughout the night, throwing rejoinders, teasing fans, dancing on stage and in all keeping his end of his ‘promise’ of guaranteeing that the biggest party in Nigeria had all it needed for fun and excitement.

Boisterous music fans demanded the presence of popular eccentric rapper, Phyno, long before he eventually graced the stage. The young rapper who is rapidly dominating the music scene with his unique style of indigenous rap stormed the venue to massive cheers from the enthusiastic audience.

Apparently, Phyno’s fans are also extremely familiar with his music, as they rapped with him to the very last lyrics of ObagoGhostmode and many of his songs from his current album No Guts No Glory.

Olamide and Phyno’s rising dominance and stage craft have attracted massive fans as they share a compelling synergy that makes their every performance a thrilling sight to watch.

Both artistes, dressed in almost identical black outfits- shared the stage briefly with Olamide arriving stylishly -comfortably seated and rapping on the bonnet of the vehicle, which drove him right to the front of the stage.

His numerous hits, First of AllDurosoke and many more of his songs are quite popular in Umuahia as the rapper and his dancers found out before descending from the stage.

Buttoned up stylishly in a black bespoke outfit with gold epaulettes, KCee chose to celebrate his birthday at Umuahia in a very special way. The singer, whose birthday was on April 18th, generously gave out 30,000 naira to a stunned fan who had danced enthusiastically on stage with him.

Along with prolific hit maker, Harrysong, both delivered popular songs, Limpopo, Okaso, Pull Over and more to delighted guests

It took little or nothing to keep guests dancing energetically on their feet as Mr Raw and his full live band mounted the massive Trek stage. Entreating the audience to live in the spirit of one love, Mr Raw effortlessly segued into his selection of popular songs such as Hip Hop Gyration, Angel, Obodo and others until he ended his set with an astonishing introduction of Honorable Tony One Week on stage.

Tony One Week’s surprise appearance threw the audience into a frenzy as the immaculately adorned politician who was last seen on The Trek stage in 2013 and African music legend, 2Face launched into a spectacular duet to the delight of music fans with Gyrate and Ife Dinma.

2Face, whose reign as Africa’s most popular artiste remains undeterred delivered one of his best performances of The Trek so far, offering smash hits such as Only Me, Ihe Ne MeOne Love and many more in a remarkable 1 hour set.

“It’s been an awesome Trek so far, you can’t imagine the energy of the fans! I’ll be performing in two other cities and I’m looking forward to meeting my fans in Orlu and at the Grand Finale in Lagos,” says 2Face.

“Umuahia Rocks no doubt! We’re not done yet, five more cities to go with non stop music and fun!” notes Phyno.

A pre gig party also held on April 19 at De Latinos Bar, Umuahia with many excited consumers carting away fantastic prizes from a raffle draw. Gifts such as such as carpets, earphones etc were won with a lucky winner taking away an LCD TV,

On Saturday April 26 2014 the Trek moves on to Orlu Imo State for the fifth concert in its exciting 10 week 10 city line up.
