British Council To Host Expo For Nigeria's Creative Industries

The British Council has announced plans to host the third expo for the Nigerian creative industries at the Westown Hotel, Lagos on Monday, December 8 and Tuesday, 9, 2014.

This year’s edition has been themed  "COLLABORATION: The Power of Shared Knowledge and Resources in Building a Creative Ecosystem’’.

According to the organisers, the expo will stimulate debate on issues relevant to the growth of Nigeria’s creative industries and build a platform for networking between creative entrepreneurs in Nigeria and in the UK.

The expo debuted in 2011 and has since being exploring the growing worldwide trend of people and businesses choosing to work in creative hubs.

The 2014 expo will also feature a pitching exercise for digital and/or creative start-ups to win free workspaces, mentoring and business advisory services from existing Lagos based hubs.
