…As Giant Christmas tree, Activity Grotto & Toy Donation Drive Brings Christmas Spirit To Lagos Kids & Families
Nickelodeon, Multichoice Nigeria and Silverbird Galleria are bringing stockings full of joy to kids and families this Christmas with a host of merry ho-ho-ho-holiday activities designed to bring smiles to the faces of the young and young at heart.
Festive celebrations start with Nickelodeon Gift-a-thon, a toy donation drive with UNICEF for underprivileged children. The drive will ask Lagos school children to donate gifts for children aged 5-10, with all gifts going to children at Child to Child Network and Child Lifeline; the 5 schools that donate the most gifts will get a special visit to their school from Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer.
Meanwhile, Nickelodeon’s elves have been busy putting up a giant Christmas tree outside the Silverbird Galleria. The sparkling 10-metre tree, decked out with decorations inspired by Nickelodeon’s TV characters, was unveiled by multi-award winning recording artisteMo’Cheddah and will remain in place until 10 January 2015.
It may be warm outside, but inside the Silverbird Galleria, sleigh bells will be ringing as a host of daily activities take place in the grotto around the tree from 11-14 December 2014, including appearances by Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. Children who donate a gift at the grotto will receive a special gift from Nickelodeon and Multichoice.
