Award Winning Writer/Filmmaker, Chris Ihidero Launches TNS
Celebrated writer and award winning filmmaker, Chris Ihidero, has unveiled a new web-based platform called True Nollywood Stories (TNS).
The filmmaker, who worked with late Amaka Igwe for years, has been working on the project for about two years and says it will become the leading web platform for everything concerning Nollywood in no time. ‘TNS is an entertaining and informative platform that reflects the innovative and dynamic spirit of Nollywood. In no time, TNS will become the leading global entertaining and informative one-stop resource platform for news, views, reviews, previews and general information about Nollywood,’ he said.
With a team of industry professionals in place including director and producer, Fidelis Duker; Abubakar Sadiq, Nkiru Njoku, Onoshe Nwabuikwu, Funmi Aluko, Ufuoma Mc Dermott and Oris Aigbokhaevbolo to drive TNS, the website is set to be a major resource for those seeking information on the Nigerian movie industry popular as Nollywood. This is especially so with Funmi Aluko to cover the Yoruba film section of the film industry and actress, Ufuoma Mc Dermott charged with giving an insider’s perspective on Nollywood while notable film reviewer, Oris Aigbokhaevbolo. provides an unbiased look at movies.
To be officially unveiled at 4pm today, December 7, 2014, TNS will be available on the web and mobile at www.tns.ng. From January 2015, it will also unveil a weekly 30-minute radio show on one of the top radio stations in Lagos and as well be available as podcast for everyone. With grand ideas powering TNS, a weekly show will also kick off on YouTube by the 2nd quarter of 2015.
Chris Ihidero, who has worked as a Literature lecturer at the Lagos State University, as an actor with BBC Radio, columnist for Guardian Newspapers and Chief Operating Officer of the acclaimed Amaka Igwe Studios, is the Editorial Board chairman of Nigerian Entertainment Today. His popular short film, Big Daddy won the Special Jury and Best Editing awards at the In-Short International Film Festival in 2012.
