Old School Vs New School…Hennessy Artistry Features Nigerian Music Legends At Grand Finale


For guests who were huge fans of Nigerian music in the early days had the time of their lives as the Hennessy Artistry 2014 grand finale went down with a bang.

The VIP concert featured some of the greatest names in the history of Nigerian music including Daddy Showkey, Marvellous Benji, Baba Fryo, Mad Mellon, Ruggedman, Azadus, Jazzman Olofin, Blacky, Olu Maintain, Style Plus and the Plantashun Boiz.

Kicking off with this year’s Hennessy Artistry supporting acts, Yung GreyC, Shaydee, Yung L, Endia, Runtown, Reminisce and Lil Kesh, the show went miles higher as the legends rocked the stage like the old days. Guests could not get enough of the fun as they screamed along to every song.

Guests got a shuddering surprise as Daddy Showkey mounted the stage taking them down memory lane with his song, ShowkeyBaba Fryo was up next as he performed Denge Pose, bringing in Marvellous Benjy who got guests screaming as he performed his classic monster hit, Swo.

Mad Mellon and Mountain Black then took over the stage as they gave a thrilling rendition of the classic tracks, Jogodo and Danfo. They later ushered in Ruggedman and Azadus who gave guests a wild time with performances of their tracks Move Your Body and Madam.

Blackky got guests screaming to his track, Rosy then Jazzman Olofin got guests in the fuji mood as he performed his Raise The Roof monster track.

When guests thought the fun was over, organizers of the Hennessy Artistry wowed guests again with a breath taking surprise performance from classic music group, Style Plus as they sang much loved songs, Olufunmi and Imagine ThatOlu Maintain also took up the stage and gave a fiery performance of the monster track, Yahooze.


Special DJs for the night, DJ Jimmy Jatt and DJ Spinall got everyone in the party mood as guests partied and mingled till the wee hours of the morning.

Guests at the finale include Brand manager, Moet an Chandon, Anne Ogunsulire, Efe Omorogbe, Deji Awokoya, Cobhams, Freeze, Yaw, Ayo Animashaun, Sam Onyemelukwe, Jimmie, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Kelechi Amadi Obi, DJ Spinal, Uti Nwachukwu, Emmanuel Ikubuese, Toolz, Tunde Demuren, Frank Edoho, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, TeeY Mix, Yvonne Vixen Ekwere, Lynxxx, Elohor Aisien, Dolapo Oni, Oreka Godis and Lamide Akintobi.

Others include EFA, DJ Obi, Lilian Unachukwu, Tola Odunsi, Emmanuel Ikubuese, Niyola, Chidinma, Praiz, Sasha, Tomi Odunsi, Osas Ighodalo, Tania Omotayo, Maria Okanrende, Fade Ogunro, Tunde Ednut, Zainab Balogun, Zaina, Tosyn Bucknor, Reekado Banks, Traffic among many others.
