Nigerian Breweries Plc, makers of the Star Lager Beer, Gulder Lager Beer, Star Lite, Amstel Malta and Fayrouz on October 4, 2014, won a total of seven awards at the 2014 Advertising Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) awards for Marketing Excellence held at the Muson Centre.
The Star Lager Beer won the Gold Award in the Experiential Marketing Category and third position in the Campaign of The Year category courtesy of its nationwide music concert, Star Trek and the Shine on Nigeria campaign. Star Lite was also awarded the New Brand of the Year and came second in the Innovation of the Year category.
The duo of Gulder Lager Beer, Fayrouz and Amstel Malta didn’t do badly winning Consumer Promotion of the Year with the Gulder Ultimate Search ConsumerChallenge, the second position in the Experiential Marketing Category with the Fayrouz L’Original Expression Show respectively while Amstel Malta won third position in the Digital Marketing of the Year Category with its Act the Part online contest.
Nicolaas Vervelde, the MD/CEO of the company said the success is a major improvement over the 2013 records and further described it as a testimony to the company’s professional approach in marketing.
