The
stage is now set for teams Meddlelane and Hai, finalists of the
ongoing Fayrouz L’Original competition, to battle it out at the
finale and win the grand prize of N4m as well as bragging rights as L’Original
of the year.
The
finale billed to hold at Oriental Hotel on Saturday, July 26, 2015 will have
them battle each other with their interpretations of the challenge themed,
‘Enchanted’. Both teams, each consisting of a make up artiste, fashion
designer, model and photographer, had beaten four other teams at the semi
finale held in Tinapa, Calabar a few weeks back.
While
speaking at the media parley held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Nigerian
Breweries, Nnenna Ifebigh-Hemeson, Senior Brand manager, Fayrouz ,
stated her satisfaction with the competition and her total confidence in the
jury’s decision. She said, ‘It’s been a fantastic journey so far for
the participants, the judges as well as the brand. It is a joyful thing
watching these participants grow into creative geniuses,
something Fayrouz is very passionate about. Now that we are at this
very crucial stage, I am very confident in the outcome of the result’, she
said.

Affairs Adviser, Nigerian Breweries also confirmed the brand’s readiness to
support Nigerian talents, something he says the Fayrouz brand holds dear to
heart,‘We are very delighted to be the brand supporting a laudable project
like the L’Original competition. We understand the importance of giving wings
to the talents of young Nigerians and we are committed to it’ he said.
Speaking
on behalf of the judges, Omoyemi Akerele, the competition’s creative director
explained the idea behind the theme of the event, ‘Enchanted’. According to
her, the theme is expected to challenge the creativity of the finalists, ‘The
theme for this year’s finale is Enchanted and we arrived at that because we
have played with colours at the audition stage, this time, we thought of how to
challenge the finalists to interpret their fantasies. Their response to the
project has been very encouraging and we are looking forward to it’. She
also assured everyone present of a glamorous event adding that all has been put
in place to ensure a memorable event, ‘It is going to be a really
fantastic and glamorous affair at the finale and I am looking forward to
it’, she concluded on a high note.
Like
the audition and semi final stages, the finale will be judged by celebrated
photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, make up expert, Rhema Akabuogu and the duo of
creative fashion designer, Kunbi Oyelese and Ohimai Atafo. The event will
also feature exciting performances from MMMG singer, Iyanya, Woju singer,
Kiss Daniels and Temi Dollface.
The
Fayrouz L’Original 2 competition is sponsored by natural premium drink, Fayrouz,
and aims at rewarding young talents with emphasis on creativity and originality
as expressed in the art of fashion designing, make up artistry, photography and
modeling.
