Woeful Chelsea Fans Just Cannot Seem To Get It Right On Star Football Superfans

After seven appearances on Star Lager’s smash-hit football Star Football Superfans, Chelsea fans have managed just one victory. That is six losses out of seven for the fans with the most appearances on the show. By most measures, that is a truly dreadful return, and perhaps Chelsea fans in Nigeria need to hold a meeting to find out what the problem is after this run of form on the show continued this week.

Their opponents were a group of Arsenal fans calling themselves Armoury FC. In real life, a contest between Arsenal and Chelsea usually sees Chelsea as favourites to win. At the Superfans area however, once Mozez Praiz shouts, “It’s Star Football Superfans! Where football fans,” and the crowd thunders “SHINE ON!” in reply, Chelsea just cannot seem to buy a victory. Blue Rovers representing Chelsea was made up of Adegboyega Temidayo Anthony, Ndinojuo Chiedozie M, Anthony David, Nicholas Chukwuma and Sheriff Apena, while Armoury FC was made up of Omobolaji Tayib Olatunji, Humphrey E. Ibe , Adekunle  Adebiyi Andrew, Eze Victor and Fendi Mendieta.

Three questions in, Blue Rovers took the lead and seemed to be on their way to a morale-boosting victory for Chelsea but Armoury FC had other ideas. After leveling the scores in the second half, Adebiyi and Ibe then turned on the afterburners for the extra time Debate and Show Your Passion segments. So good were their performances that the entire audience went into frenzied chants of “Ibe! Ibe! Ibe!” after his performance ended. Blue Rovers’ Gboyega and Sheriff could barely muster a response to their opponents and it was really no surprise when the crowd voted for Armoury FC both times.

3-1 the final score and yet another loss for Chelsea fans on the Star Lager customer reward platform. The Gunners on the other hand, are building up a head of steam as they recorded their third victory on the show. The delight was plain for all to see as they picked up the N1 million grand prize cheque and the coveted bragging grights. Until next time for Chelsea!
