Photos & Video: Raphael Saadiq PAys Tribute To Fela Anikulapo-Kuti At BET Experience Africa 2015

 

Award winning international singer and guitarist, Raphael Saadiq gave a gripping performance on Saturday, December 12th at the BET Experience Africa 2015 in Johannesburg, South Africa as he paid tribute to Nigerian music icon, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. 

The event which held at the Ticketpro Dome witnessed Raphael Saadiq, for the first time ever in Africa perform to thousands of screaming fans. He led his band  to perform different renditions of Fela's evergreen songs which got the crowd ecstatic. As a sign of respect to the great icon, different music videos of the late Fela and his band playing were displayed  in the background. 

BET Experience Africa also featured great performances from international superstars, Maxwell, Mary J Blige, Young Thug, Diamond Platnumz, Nigeria's very own Flavour Nabania, South Africa's AKA and many other acts.
