AFRICA'S R&B KING DAREY RAISES THE BAR AGAIN WITH MAGICAL CONCERT

Blinding fireworks, gasp-inducing singing, hair-raising acrobatics, and all the special effects you can think of, Africa’s king of R&B Darey Art Alade held Nigerians spellbound on Sunday night, throwing a super concert that has raised the bar beyond what many are yet to fully comprehend.

The specially designed Love Like A Movie concert, featuring performances from Darey, 2face Idibia, Waje, Praiz, Banky W, Tolu, Ice Prince, Kaffy, Flavour, Timi Dakolo,  FARFADAIS, KITONB theatre group, and many more, was, as promised, over three hours of world-class entertainment, with Darey pulling all the stops to make sure guests got the experience of a lifetime.

“Darey's show was incredible. The best show I've seen in Nigeria...hands down.” says top blogger, Linda Ikeji.
''The show would go down in the history of concerts in Nigeria as the best. I mean it!'', commented respected film producer Charles Novia.

Guests included Mr Nicolaas Vervelde, Managing Director/Chief Executive, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Walter Drenth, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Larry Annetts CMO, MTN Nigeria, Elohor Aisien, Onari Duke, Mo Abudu, Nkiru Anumudu, Tony Agenmonmen, as well as Ramsey Nouah, Segun Arinze, Emeka Ike, Chidi Mokeme, and Charles Novia. Other guests include Dr Sid, Linda Ikeji, Toolz, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, Annie Macaulay, Toke Makinwa, Yvonne Vixen Ekwere, Omowunmi Akinifesi among others but it was US star Kim Kardashian, who flew in to co-host the platinum red carpet with Darey, attend the special LLAM dinner and open the show that stole everyone’s attention.

And she opened the show in style- greeting the audience in Yoruba ‘E kaale Nigeria’, she said, as the packed hall erupted in joy.
Digging from his rich repertoire, Darey opened with the theme track, Love like a Movie then followed with Sisi Eko. He later performed the ballad Not the girl before he did a rendition of Lady in Red by Chris Deburgh and Boys II Men's I’ll make love to you and End of the road (featuring four of Nigeria’s greatest voices Banky W, Timi Dakolo, Praiz and Tolu).

Darey also performed Hold you tonight, Endless love and A whole New world (with Waje) as well as the fun hit song  Banikidi, Escalade, The way you are, Carry Dey Go (with 2Face) and a wondrous remake of What a Wonderful World.

He closed the remarkable night with the braggadocios track Asiko (featuring Ice Prince and MoEazy)
