Enugu Fans Rate Music Concert 10/10

…M.I Crowns New Mrs Abaga
…Surprise appearance by Tony One Week

Emotions ran high on Saturday as headliners for the 4th leg of theStar Music Trek which held at Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium Enugu, stormed the concert venue and delivered a superlative performance that surpassed many music lovers expectations.

Fans who started trooping into the venue as early as 3pm on the day of the event confirmed that they came with very high expectations based on the previous concert, which held in Owerri at Hero Square on Saturday June 23rd 2013.

And at the end of the 9-hour sell out concert it’s safe to say they were not disappointed.

2012 winners Crystals were a breath of fresh air as they blew the audience away with their hits RingTone and Love Me Tender. The youthful crew was adjudged winners of Star Quest 2012 with their creative stage craft, great voices and mesmerizing dance steps. All of which they brought to the fore when they delivered thei rscintillating 15 minute performance on stage.

The crowd was chanting his name long before he arrived at the venue. And as Phyno confidently strode unto the stage there was no doubt that the man of the moment, had captured the hearts of thousands of new fans almost effortlessly.

As expected, the hip hop star’s 40 minute performance had Enugu fans spell bound and surpassed even that of his offering in Owerri. The artiste churned out Man of the Year, Anamachikwena, Ghost Modeand many more hits to the admiration of the crowd.

At one point he was joined on stage by popular Enugu based  artiste,Ruffcoin, which only set the crowd agog.

It’s always unpredictable with JMartins on stage. And always enjoyable too.Throughout his 40 minute show the artiste chose to keep it cool in Enugu and ensured that he and his live band left the crowd wanting more while performing fan favorites, Good or BadOyoyoTouching Body and others.

Having long established a warm relationship with the Coal City, Mr Raw and his exciting live band had no difficulties getting the crowd dancing along with excitement to ObodoSpiritual ConjiStrong and Mighty and others.

Apparently, music metamorphosis goes beyond MrRaw’s name change. In 40 minutes,he and his 6 man live band left no one in doubt that after 13 years as an entertainer he is still a defining factor in the Nigerian music industry.

Remember ‘Gyration’? Apparently so did the crowd as the artiste Tony One Week who is presently minority leader of the Anambra House of Assembly, stepped on stage to the surprise of music fans.Gyration, which went platinum in 2003 remains evergreen and has been the toast of many music lovers over the years.

Will the real Mrs Abaga please stand up? Mr Incredible keeps on stunning fans not just with his electrifying performances but also with new twists at every concert venue.

Flashbackto Owerri where Mrs Abaga the 1st was crowned. This weeks’‘queen’, Blessing, who performed his hit ‘One Naira’ with him was proudly crowned by multifaceted compere GbengaAdeyinka. Evidently ‘king M.I’ intends to  crown a new queen at every venue.

M.I’s inspiring set also had crowd turners such as Money Slow to Enter,One Naira,Anoti and many others.

Everyone loves the ‘Black Diamond’, and ‘WC’ glowed and glittered throughout his 50 minute signature high energy, fast paced set with Bumper to BumperRotate and The Kick. If his fans had any regrets as they watched him leave the stage, it was only that they couldn't have that one last encore!

The 10-city-10 week annual tour has berthed in FESTAC, Lokoja Owerri and Enugu. The concert will storm Aba on July 7 2013 for the 5th leg of the tour.

Star Music Trek 2013 ends on August 10, 2013 with a Grand Finale at the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.
