A delegation from Arsenal Football Club today paid a courtesy visit to the Iganmu House, head office of Nigerian Breweries, Nigeria’s pioneer brewing company and makers of Star Lager beer with the Emirates FA Cup recently won by Arsenal.
The visit comes on the heels of a recent partnership deal between the London-based club and Nigerian Breweries. The agreement which named Star Larger Beer as Arsenal FC’s official beer partner in Nigeria provides Star beer loyalist and football fans in Nigeria a range of Club-related benefits and an improved football experience like the just concluded trip in which some consumers were at Wembley Stadium to see the Emirates FA Cup final game between Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC.
Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries, Franco Maria- Maggi, said: “We are very happy and proud of this visit by the Arsenal delegation. Remember they were here last year to sign a partnership agreement with the club and today’s visit is a testament to the strong relationship between us. As two great institutions with a shared history of exceptional commitment to customers and supporters, we will continue to work together to delight Arsenal FC supporters and indeed every football fan in Nigeria.”
Star Lager Beer was introduced into the Nigerian market on June 2, 1949, as the first indigenously brewed beer in a market that was then dominated exclusively by imported brands.
