A few hours to the 10th
edition of Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards and creatives
in the industry are all gearing up for the big night.
In preparation for the event,
we take a look at the ad men behind the process that determines the winners and
who gets to go home with what during this year’s edition.
Here are the eleven 2015 LAIF
Awards jurors:
Olatunde Ademosu
Olatunde is Deputy Creative Director
at Rosabel Advertising Ltd.
A graduate of The
Polytechnic, Ibadan, Tunde is a multi-award winning Art Director with over 12
years experience in the advertising industry.
Gbenga Boglo
He is Deputy Creative
Director of Insight Communications, where he has worked since 2003.
A cartoonist, blogger and an
art director, Gbenga is a graduate of Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
Akorede Zakariya
Akorede is a creative at Fuel
Communications.
He is a copywriter and poet.
The University of Lagos graduate has worked with agencies such as Noah’s Ark,
Hot Sauce, LTC/JWT.
After concluding studies at
Miami Ad School in 2013, he worked with Draft FCB, JWT and 360i in New York for
about 3 years.
Kade Nduka
Kade Nduka is currently the
Creative Director at Nigeria’s pioneer advertising agency, Lowe Lintas. Before
then, he served for 4 years as Associate Creative Director at SO&U Saatchi
& Saatchi.
Uzoma Okoye
Uzoma is the CEO of Etu Odi
Design, a next generation creative agency, combining insightful brand strategy,
creative communication and engaging brand experience.
The award-winning designer graduated
from Birmingham University and also worked as Creative Director at FKG2 (Azzagai)
between 2006 and 2008.
Ndukwe Onuoha
Ndukwe Onuoha is currently
the Head of Creative (Copy) at 7even Interactive.
He started out as a
copywriter at SO&U Saatchi & Saatchi between 2007 and 2008. With several years experience in the
advertising industry and having worked with agencies like 141 Worldwide,
SO&U, Noah’s Ark, Centre Spread FCB, Yellow Brick Road, Nduka understands
the art of telling
brand stories with human truths.
Ndukwe is a poet and spoken
word performer. He also has a passion for his native Abia State and political
campaign strategy.
He holds a B.A in History and
International Relations from Abia State University.
Alexander Orakwusi
Alexander started his career
in 2008 as a copywriter at ZK Advertising, before moving on to JWT in 2011
where he spent 9 months as a senior copywriter, and later served as Group Head,
Copy until 2013.
Currently, Alexander is
Creative Director at Yellow Brick Road Advertising, where he has been since
April 2013.
He has won several awards
including Outstanding Radio category at the 2014 LAIF Awards.
He is a 2002 graduate of
Political Science and Government from Michigan State University.
Akintunde Bada
Akintunde Bada is currently
Creative Director, Globacom at one of Nigeria’s leading creative agencies, SO&U.
He is well grounded
advertising executive, with experience in strategy, art direction, digital
marketing, brand management , copywriting and design.
Colin Charles
Colin Charles is
Communications Director at Peter Charles Ltd., a communications outfit based in
London, UK.
Beyond marketing
communications, Colin also has a wealth of experience in global brand
management, social marketing and internal communications and has worked in
several roles, serving as Creative Director (Lowe Lintas, 1997 – 2006; Icon
Comms, Ghana 2006 -2009; Colin Charles, 2009 -2012), Executive Creative
Director (Publicis West Africa, 2012-2014) and at Management and Board levels.
Colin’s ultimate passion is
to ‘uberize’ all aspects of modern enterprise.
Clement Vigne
Clement is the Regional ECD
for the DDB Casers Group in West and Central Africa covering Franco and Anglo
countries, Nigeria, Bénin, Cameroon, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Brazzaville,
Liberia, Guinée Bissau, Guinée Konakri.
Clement Vigne was Art Director
at Publicis Group LOEB & Conseil from 1999-2004, later serving as Creative
Director at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, Casablanca (2004-2006), ZK
Advertising, Johannesburg (2006 – 2010) and Revolution Brand Activists, South
Africa (2010-2011).
Clement also worked in
Nigeria as Associate Creative Director, TBWA\Concept from between 2013 and
2014.
Orighomisan Ogbebor
Orighomisan is a
photographer, art & design director, who enjoys visual storytelling and
believes in the power of perception.
He studied arts in Lagos and
London School of Photography. His works have been featured in international
publications and media.
