Award winning indigenous station - Naija FM 102.7 has indeed wrapped
up 2013 in grand style!
With a shelf full of plaques to show for its rapid rise and acceptance
by the Lagos grassroots, Naija fm have capped an amazing year with the hosting
of another unique family event; “Comedy
Jam Show” held on the 15th of December, at the Muson Centre,
Onikan, Lagos.
The event which can be described as the biggest gathering of Comedians
and music artistes in 2013 was hosted by some of the radio stations’ top OAPs; Sabina
and Ajebo.
Guests present were entertained with rib cracking jokes from Comedians
who took to the stage in turns, while fans danced and screamed in delight at the
dazzling performances from their favourite music stars!
Sensational music acts who thrilled the audience on the magical evening
include; Limpopo crooner ‘Kcee’, Harry Songs, Iyanya and the Made Men crew,
Sean Tizzle, Ruggedman, JJC, Monica and Terry G amongst many others.
While guests enjoyed and laughed to jokes from AY, Elenu, Mc Shakara, Emeka
Smith, Seyi Law, Pencil and MC Shaggy and others.
Speaking, Naija fm Programmes Director Gbemi Olateru – Olagbegi says “the purpose of the show is to celebrate the
third anniversary of Naija fm with our wonderful listeners! The Comedy Jam Show
- an annual event - incorporates music, Comedy and Comedy awards. It was a
packed show tonight…I mean the turnout was amazing! Definitely looking forward
to next year!
The high point of the night
was an award presentation - to recognize major contributors to Nigerian entertainment.
Handed out by OAP’s from Naija fm and sister stations, Classic fm 97.3 and the
Beat 99.9, Plaques were given to Comedians; Pencil (upcoming Comedian of the year), Akpororo (Comedian of the year), AY (TV Show of the year “AY Show” and Comedy event of the year “AY
Live”), while Television show Clinic
Matters was awarded “Sitcom of the year”.
